Through the fertilization the correct measure of mineral salts of the soil is restored both in the garden and in the pots. Since every type of plant needs mineral salts throughout the year it is always good to proceed with a correct administration of the fertilizer that is neither excessive nor too poor. An excessive intake of mineral salts, in fact, risks damaging our plants as well as a low intake of nutrients. It will therefore be advisable to fertilize following specific rules and above all not to abandon and to be careful not to fertilize in the period in which our plants are in the rest period. As for the terrace or garden plants it is useful to fertilize in the spring and summer months with great regularity using liquid fertilizers that dissolve in the water at the time of watering. In the autumn months we apply the organic fertilizer in such a way that when we fertilize with organic fertilizer in autumn, in this way the salts that are deposited on the ground will be used in the spring period when they act with their nutrient supply .
For houseplants, on the other hand, it is not very suitable in the autumn months, because otherwise we run the risk of a too sudden development of our plants that will not have the possibility to carry out their normal vegetative rest.
There are different types of fertilizers that differ depending on the amount of fertilizer used and depending on the results we want to achieve.

Funding fertilization

This type of fertilization is performed only once when preparing the ground for the cultivation of herbaceous species or plantations of fruit trees such as olive groves, orchards or vineyards. Due to its preparatory nature, this type of fertilization can be defined as extraordinary. The goal is to increase the fertility levels of the soil by contributing, through fertilization, to inserting all those nutrient-type elements that the soil lacks. In particular, this type of fertilizer acts on the soil layer where the plant roots dwell, therefore in the first fifty centimeters or so. This type of fertilization is carried out precisely when the soil has never been fertilized or when it has been fertilized but in a wrong way so that the soil is impoverished and needs a basic fertilizer to re-establish its chemical and nutritional balance.

Mineral fertilization is carried out through mineral fertilizers and mineral oligo. Mineral fertilizers are products that derive from the chemical industry and are widely used above all in industrial agricultural production.Organic fertilization is instead performed with organic-type fertilizers whose nature is exclusively organic. Manure and manure are the most commonly used organic fertilizers in the agricultural world. In addition to manure among organic fertilizers, peat and compost can also be mentioned. The organic is particularly used by small farmers and those who practice organic farming. Compared to chemical fertilizers, organic ones have the advantage of causing less pollution to the soil and the surrounding environment and provide the soil with nutritional elements that allow the plants to develop optimally.Sewaging

Fertigation is a type of fertilization that is performed through irrigation. This type of technique can be used both for mineral and organic fertilization through, for example, zootechnical sewage. In fact, with fertigation, the water is mixed with a fluid compound of fertilizers that are distributed on the ground when it is watered.

More common mineral salts in different types of fertilizers

There are different types of mineral salts that are included in the various types of fertilizer. For example, nitrogen is among the most widespread among mineral salts, it is useful for plants for the development of plant leaves. It is therefore appropriate to use nitrogen-based products for all green plants especially during the spring months. Phosphorus is another of the most commonly used mineral salts. Phosphorus helps plants especially when they develop their flowers. It will therefore be useful to use a fertilizer rich in phosphorus during the period of flowering of our plants. The other salt mines present mainly in many types of fertilizer and potassium. This mineral salt is very effective in the period of fruit production by our plants. Potassium helps to increase sugar intake. The potassium-rich fertilizers are used above all for the vegetable gardens due to the fact that in the latter plants are grown that will necessarily have to develop some fruits.
