Question: resin on tree plums
I have a black plum tree full of resin in the garden. What should I do to prevent it from dying? Or that above all it doesn't give me more fruits? Thanks!
Answer: resin on tree plums
Dear Night Fairy,
the production of resin by a fruit plant may be due to several reasons; it could be larvae inserted in the bark and stem, against which you would have nothing else to do but cut the plant to the abse and burn it, before the llarves open up and move on the plants on the side. It could also be a normal response due to cultural stress, such as very intense heat, prolonged drought, or facts like this.
